Four guys who grew up in Aspen in the 1970s and ’80s—Andy Collen, Chris Pomeroy, Dean Jackson, and Lo Semple—have released a new book about growing up in Aspen.
The book is titled Growing Up Aspen: Adventures of the Unsupervised.
The fun collection of stories runs to nearly 500 pages and weighs, I'm guessing, a couple of pounds. It's a lot of reading. And, I'm happy to report, it's all very good.
In this wonderful collection they tell their stories as kids in the fabled ski resort before it was a fabled ski resort and just a town full of hippies and ski bums (sometimes one and the same) and the longtime locals who patched together lives, careers, and paychecks based on seasonal droughts. <READ THE FULL ARTICLE>
